Google has clearly struggled with entry into the insurance space. In the UK it took them forever to launch, so far success has alluded them. In Germany they got everyone excited only to reverse the decision and skip on to the US. Now we hear they are have pressed the brakes there too. I repeat my earlier assertion that insurance buyers do not need, and should not want, another comparison site - they need a lot more than that!
It appears Google Compare’s grand experiment in online comparison shopping for auto insurance is dead – for now at least.
