Following on from Gary Nuttall's recent comment about spotting patterns of activity that reflect where we currently are with #InsurTech, the below light-hearted post from Nigel Walsh considers what recent "sci-fi" movies have predicted and how some of that reality comes to pass.
Film directors don't need to deal with the constraints of the real-world when it comes to technological or sociological ideas - thus freeing them to be more visionary than most of us - but they do still need to resonate with their audiences. Let's ensure we are regularly considering what this means about the idea being generated and the potential for them predicting where we are going.
For those that know me, I love a movie, usually really bad ones I'm told!. I often find myself sitting there thinking about Insurance and over the years I have noticed how things from TV and Film have made it off of the Silver Screen into real life and importantly for this debate, have a very real impact and relation to Insurance.
