Talking about Markel's acquisition of State National recently, co-CEO Richard Whitt stated "State National will help us leverage our InsurTech and digital distribution initiatives".

Over the last few years we've seen significant M&A in the sector aim at capturing scale. Interesting to see whether there will now be another spike of M&A activity linked to building technology and insurtech skills.
